Q&A With Dr. J. - 20 questions regarding memorabilia & game used gear.
Game tape or photos of the 76ers at Detroit Pistons from Dec. 23rd, 1983. Game was played at the Silverdome and the Sixers won by two on a last second Andrew Toney jumper. This is the only Sixers game I saw in person, where Doc actually played. A few months earlier, I attended an exhibition game in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Doc sat that one out "due to injury". The story I heard was that he'd lost his uniform and shoes. A few years later I returned to Detroit for his last game against the Pistons. He had been out with an injury for a few games and I was hoping this would be his first game back. No luck.
Original game photos of Dr. J. playing in exhibition action with the Atlanta Hawks, in the fall of 1972. The Hawks played against the ABA's Colonels and Cougars, with Erving in the lineup. Erving played 2 games against the Colonels (home and road) and one game at Carolina.
